The role
We’re looking for a Junior Learning Designer to join our Education department as part of our Maths team.
As a Junior Learning Designer, you’ll craft content that helps students build confidence with maths and problem-solving. The focus will be on creating engaging and challenging maths resources for GCSE learners, helping them achieve mastery. It’s an opportunity to make maths feel accessible, enjoyable and empowering for every student.
What you will do
- Collaborate with a team of maths educators to create high-quality, curriculum-aligned content for GCSE Maths.
- Design learning and assessment materials that help students master key skills and prepare confidently for exams.
- Review and edit your team’s content to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency with our content guidelines.
- Use a range of authoring tools to build interactive and personalised online learning experiences.
Who you are
- Strong knowledge of all the GCSE Maths topics, from number and algebra to geometry and statistics.
- Creative and precise, with the ability to write clear, engaging explanations and questions for secondary students.
- Collaborative and open to feedback, with a thoughtful and constructive approach to teamwork.
- Great at explaining tricky ideas in simple terms, and passionate about making maths feel achievable for all learners.
- Always keen to learn and improve, with a growth mindset and an enthusiasm for educational impact.
Experience that will set you apart
Experience tutoring, mentoring or developing maths content for learners aged 11–16.
A passion for maths communication—whether through puzzle design, enrichment activities, or clear, student-friendly writing.
Familiarity with GCSE exam boards and an understanding of what helps students succeed in assessments.
