Account Manager (Schools) - Quest (12 months FTC)
We’re Atom Learning and our mission is to help every child reach their potential. We use machine learning and a visually engaging tech platform to bring a fun, high-quality and personalised learning experience into every child’s home.
We combine exceptional teacher-made content with cutting-edge technology to provide fantastic, affordable education to learners globally, regardless of background.
We’re one of Europe’s fastest-growing EdTech companies. Since 2018, we’ve grown from a startup of four friends to almost 110 people. Our brilliant colleagues include specialists across education, engineering, product, learning design and marketing.
We’re remote-first! While our main office is in London, our team is composed of almost 110 people working across 10 countries.
The role
We’re looking for an exceptional Account Manager to join Quest, Atom Learning’s rapidly growing assessment and progress-tracking platform for schools.
Quest is a team within Atom Learning, benefiting from the backing, resources and expertise of an established and profitable EdTech company. At the same time, it operates much like a startup within the wider business: the team is small and ambitious, moves quickly and gives its members significant ownership, responsibility and opportunities to make an impact.
In this role, you’ll manage relationships with a portfolio of schools, helping them successfully adopt and get the most from Quest. You’ll take ownership of the full customer journey, from onboarding and training through to adoption, account growth and renewal, while working closely with colleagues across Quest and Atom, including the Product team.
Please note: This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
What you will do
Build strong, trusted relationships with teachers, school leaders and other key stakeholders across a large portfolio of schools.
Deliver engaging online training sessions and webinars that help schools use Quest confidently and effectively.
Provide first-class customer support, ensuring schools receive timely, thoughtful and accurate responses to their queries.
Drive adoption and engagement by helping schools understand and realise the full value of the Quest platform.
Lead renewal conversations and proactively address risks to maximise customer retention.
Identify opportunities to grow accounts through additional year groups, products and services.
Build a strong customer community and develop advocates who actively champion Quest.
Gather customer feedback and work closely with Product to shape future development.
Maintain excellent organisation across a large portfolio of schools.
Take ownership of problems, identify solutions and continuously improve how we support our schools.
Who you are
You are an outstanding communicator, both verbally and in writing, and can adapt your approach to different audiences.
You are exceptionally organised and able to manage a large portfolio alongside multiple competing priorities.
You are a confident and engaging presenter who enjoys leading training sessions for groups.
You build relationships naturally and establish trust quickly.
You are proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.
You thrive in entrepreneurial, fast-moving environments and enjoy solving problems independently.
You have strong commercial judgement and are comfortable leading conversations about renewals and account growth.
You have meticulous attention to detail and take pride in delivering a consistently excellent customer experience.
You learn quickly, take ownership and move work forward without waiting for detailed instructions.
You are resilient, positive and genuinely passionate about improving education.
Experience that will set you apart
Quest is best described as a startup within Atom Learning. We move quickly, take ownership and continuously improve what we do. We’re looking for someone who prefers a pirate ship to a navy ship: someone excited by the freedom, responsibility and pace involved in helping to build something special.
If you’re looking for a highly structured role with a detailed process for every situation, this may not be the right fit. If you enjoy taking initiative, solving problems and making a visible impact, you’ll thrive here.
Benefits
25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
3 days’ winter leave.
Work from anywhere in the UK or within GMT +/-2 hours; we’re a remote-first company, with the option to use our Holborn office.
Annual L&D budget.
Private medical insurance with Vitality Health.
Access to a wellbeing platform.
Enhanced family leave.
Monthly remote and in-person events in London.
A high degree of autonomy and exposure to the running of all business areas of a successful startup.
Brilliant colleagues and the opportunity to become an integral member of a fast-growing tech company.
